Medical Insurance Group (NCSMIG)
Welcome to the Web site for North Coast Schools' Medical
Insurance Group. The North Coast Schools' Medical Insurance
Group (NCSMIG) is a California Joint Powers Authority (JPA)
formed by thirty-three (33) Humboldt, Del Norte, and Mendocino
County school districts for the purpose of self-funding
employee medical, dental, and vision benefits.
Governance
NCSMIG is governed by a Board of Directors
made up of one director representing of each member district
with one hundred or more employees enrolled in the medical
program and three at-large directors representing the school
districts with less than one hundred employees.
Privacy
NCSMIG complies
with all relevant federal and state privacy and confidentiality
regulations.
